A: Don’t worry about gathering paperwork right now. Once you contact us, we’ll help you coordinate all the documentation and assessments you need.
A: Yes. Many of our caregivers work part-time or have flexible schedules. As long as your schedule allows you to provide daily care, outside work is fine.
A: That’s okay! Many of our caregivers are close family friends. What matters is that you live with the person you’re caring for and are committed to their well-being.
A: Most caregivers receive up to $1,650 per month, tax-free. The exact amount depends on your loved one’s level of care need. We’ll help you understand what to expect as part of the evaluation process.
A: No. Spouses and legal guardians are not eligible to be AFC caregivers. However, other relatives and family friends may qualify.
A: The program serves individuals age 16 and older. However, the 16+ requirement applies to specific situations. If the individual is a minor living with a parent or guardian, that parent or guardian has legal responsibility until the individual turns 18.
