Springfield, MA – November 16, 2023 – Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen) has been awarded the 2023 Viability Inclusive Employer of the Year Award in recognition of its partnership and inclusive culture and employment of people with disabilities or disadvantages.
The award was given to Cencora for its ongoing support and inclusion for people with disabilities through Viability’s program in Long Island, NY, specifically at its distribution center in Amityville, which employs individuals with disabilities to perform routine, yet critical, tasks.

This award and commendations are part of Viability’s celebration and recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, highlighting people with disabilities and Cencora as an employer who contributes to their success through incorporation into the workforce. Viability’s Inclusive Employer of the Year Award is a recognition from Viability staff to celebrate a Partner Employer and their commitment to disability inclusivity.
